$ what we ship

Six shapes of mobile build.

Whether you're validating a mobile-first idea or rebuilding a creaky legacy app, pick the shape that matches. Every build ships to both stores, monitored and crash-free from day one.

01
Cross-platform React NativeOne codebase, iOS + Android. 60% cheaper than dual-native, ships in half the time, indistinguishable from native for most apps.
02
Native iOS (Swift)SwiftUI-first builds when you need ARKit, Metal, HealthKit or App Clips. Full Xcode pipeline, TestFlight, App Store review handled.
03
Native Android (Kotlin)Kotlin + Jetpack Compose. Play Store internal testing, staged rollout, Android Auto and Wear OS where it matters.
04
Offline-first & syncApps that work on the train and reconcile when the signal comes back. WatermelonDB, RxDB, conflict resolution done right.
05
Push, deep links & notifsFirebase Cloud Messaging, APNs, universal links, in-app messaging, silent pushes for background sync — the plumbing that keeps users coming back.
06
App rescues & rebuildsTook over an app someone else abandoned? We audit, stabilise, and rebuild the shaky parts without a big-bang rewrite.
$ our process

From idea to App Store — six phases, every time.

Same six phases, same order, every engagement. Fixed scope, fixed timeline, fixed price — agreed before we open Xcode.

  1. 01

    Discovery & store strategy

    Week 1

Paid discovery sprint — what to build, what to cut, and how the App Store review team will react. We de-risk the review process before you write a line of code.

    • Kickoff workshop (Brisbane, Sydney, or over video)
    • Feature MoSCoW + platform trade-off matrix (iOS-first vs Android-first vs both)
    • App Store & Play Store guideline audit for your category
    • Fixed-price proposal, week-by-week milestones
  2. 02

    UX & native design

    Week 2 – 3

iOS and Android design conventions matter — we design to platform, not to the lowest common denominator. Figma prototypes on real devices before we build anything.

    • Platform-specific flows (iOS Human Interface, Material 3)
    • Hi-fi Figma for every screen, light + dark
    • Interactive prototype pushed to your phone via Figma Mirror
    • Icon + splash + App Store screenshot set drafted
  3. 03

    Foundations & TestFlight

    Week 3 – 5

Repo, CI/CD, EAS or Fastlane, auth, push infrastructure, first TestFlight + Play Internal build shipped to your phone. Real device, real login, real push notification — end of week five.

    • GitHub repo + Expo/EAS or Fastlane pipeline
    • Signed builds auto-delivered to TestFlight + Play Internal
    • Auth (Firebase / Clerk / custom) with biometric login
    • Sentry crash reporting live from build one
  4. 04

    Feature sprints

    Week 5 – 14

Two-week sprints. Fresh build on your test devices every Friday, walk-through demo, retro. You're driving the roadmap, not receiving a monthly PowerPoint.

    • Weekly Friday demo (30 min, recorded)
    • Linear board you can see and comment on
    • New TestFlight/Play build every push to main
    • Beta group management + feedback loop
  5. 05

    Hardening & store prep

    Week 14 – 16

Performance profiling on real low-end devices, memory-leak hunt, accessibility (VoiceOver + TalkBack), store metadata drafted. If your app rejects on submission, we didn't do phase five properly.

    • Real-device QA across iPhone SE → 15 Pro, Pixel + Samsung
    • Detox/Maestro E2E tests for critical flows
    • App Store & Play Store metadata, screenshots, privacy labels
    • Privacy manifest + ATT prompt copy reviewed
  6. 06

    Submit, launch, 90-day support

    Week 16 → 28

We submit to both stores under your accounts, handle the review back-and-forth, then stay on-call for the first 90 days. Bug fixes, tweaks, review responses — all included.

    • Store submission + review response handled end-to-end
    • Staged rollout on Play, phased release on App Store
    • Crash-free rate monitored in Sentry + Firebase Crashlytics
    • 90 days of fixes, tweaks & store updates — included
$ what you own

What lands in your hands.

Final milestone paid, every artefact transfers to your name. Source, developer accounts, signing keys, certs — no vendor lock-in, ever.

Full source repo

GitHub repo transferred to your org. Every commit, every branch, every review — yours.

Apple Developer & Play accounts

Registered under your business ABN/NZBN — never our name. Full ownership from day one.

Signing keys & certs

iOS provisioning profiles, distribution certs, Play upload key — vaulted and handed over on launch.

Figma design files

Design system, component library, prototypes, App Store screenshots — editable, not screenshots.

Architecture & runbook

Data flow diagram, release process, secrets rotation, on-call playbook — written like your next dev is reading them.

Monitoring dashboards

Sentry, Firebase, App Store Connect + Play Console analytics wired to your inbox, alerting before users notice.

$ timeline & investment

Rough shape of a mobile engagement.

Real numbers from the last dozen mobile builds. Actual pricing lands after discovery — but this is the sensible band to plan around.

$ questions

The stuff every client asks first.

If your question isn't below, we'll answer it on the discovery call. No sales pitch — just an honest read on whether we're the right shop.

React Native or native — which should I choose?
React Native by default: it's 60% cheaper, ships to both stores from one codebase, and covers 95% of what most apps need. We reach for native Swift or Kotlin when there's a real reason — heavy on-device ML, ARKit, HealthKit, complex animations at 120 Hz, or specific SDK constraints that RN can't wrap cleanly.
Will Apple actually approve my app?
We audit against App Store Review Guidelines during discovery — that's what stops rejections. Common traps (subscriptions without restore, missing privacy manifest, ATT prompt copy, sign-in-with-Apple parity) all get flagged before we write code. Of the last 18 apps we've submitted, all approved on first or second submission.
Who owns the Apple Developer account?
You do. Your ABN/NZBN, your company name on the App Store listing, your DUNS number, your admin. We're added as developers under your account — never the other way around. Same for Google Play.
Do you take over apps someone else started?
Often, yes. We run a paid 2–4 hour audit — codebase health, dependency staleness, crash rate, review scores — and quote continuation honestly. If the RN version is three majors behind and the native modules are unmaintained, we'll tell you a rebuild is cheaper than the rescue.
How do payments & subscriptions work in-app?
StoreKit 2 on iOS, Play Billing on Android, wrapped by RevenueCat for cross-platform subs, receipt validation, and analytics. Stripe for anything that doesn't require Apple's cut (physical goods, services, B2B). We wire the whole thing including restore, entitlements, and grace periods.
What about ongoing OS updates?
iOS and Android each ship a major update every year with breaking changes. Our care plan (from $290/mo) covers regression testing on new OS betas, dependency bumps, and store re-submissions. Without it, apps rot in about 18 months.
Do you work outside Brisbane?
Yes — every engagement runs remote-first from our Brisbane studio, with on-site availability across Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland and Wellington. About half our mobile clients we've never met in person; the other half we visit for kickoff and launch.
