$ what we ship

Six shapes of e-commerce build.

Whether you're launching a first store, migrating off Magento, or building headless for a hundred SKUs, we've done that shape recently — and can quote it honestly on the discovery call.

01
Shopify + Shopify PlusThemes we design, not "customised Debut". Metaobjects, sections everywhere, sub-2-second LCP on 4G, and Shopify apps only where they actually earn their monthly fee.
02
WooCommerce & WordPressCustom themes on a stable stack — hardened hosting, image CDN, cache tiers, and none of the 47-plugin bloat that makes Woo feel slow.
03
Headless commerceShopify Hydrogen or Storyblok + BigCommerce fronted by Next.js on Vercel or Cloudflare. Editorial control, product data from the CMS you already use.
04
Migrations & replatformsMagento, BigCommerce, Neto, WooCommerce → Shopify (or the other way). Redirects, SEO preservation, historical order data, subs — all migrated without lost revenue.
05
Subs, bundles, B2BRecharge/Bold subs, complex bundling, wholesale portals with per-account pricing, credit terms and PO checkout for B2B customers.
06
CRO & PDP overhaulsExisting store leaking sales? We rebuild PDPs, cart and checkout against real analytics — with A/B tests and honest reporting on lift.
$ our process

From catalogue to checkout — six phases.

Same six phases, same order, every store. Fixed scope, fixed timeline, fixed price — agreed before we open the theme editor.

  1. 01

    Discovery & catalogue audit

    Week 1

Product data, tax config, shipping rules, existing app spaghetti — we map it before we quote. Where's the money going, where's it being left on the floor.

    • Kickoff workshop (Brisbane or Zoom)
    • Catalogue & app inventory + monthly app-cost audit
    • Analytics & funnel review (GA4, Shopify, Hotjar)
    • Fixed-price proposal, week-by-week milestones
  2. 02

    Design & theme direction

    Week 2 – 3

Hi-fi Figma for home, collection, PDP, cart, checkout — mobile-first, real product photography, real pricing. No lorem ipsum, no stock imagery in mockups.

    • Mobile-first Figma for the five money pages
    • Design system + Shopify section library
    • Empty-state, sold-out, back-in-stock designs
    • Interactive Figma prototype for sign-off
  3. 03

    Theme build & product data

    Week 3 – 6

Custom Shopify theme (or Hydrogen frontend / Woo theme) built with metaobjects, sections and merchant-editable everything. Product data imported, tax and shipping wired.

    • Custom sections editable by non-devs
    • Metaobject-driven product content
    • Shipping profiles + AU/NZ tax setup
    • Klaviyo + Meta Pixel + GA4 wired
  4. 04

    Integrations & automations

    Week 6 – 8

Xero / MYOB, ShipStation / Starshipit, Klaviyo flows, subs, back-in-stock, review platform (Judge.me / Okendo). The Zapier scripts stop; real integrations start.

    • Accounting sync (Xero / MYOB)
    • Shipping & tracking (Starshipit / Shippit / AusPost)
    • Klaviyo flows: welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase
    • Reviews, loyalty, referrals wired to product pages
  5. 05

    Migration, speed & SEO

    Week 8 – 10

URL structure preserved, 301 redirect map generated from the sitemap, structured data on every PDP, Google Merchant feed clean, PageSpeed above 90 on mobile.

    • Redirect map covering every legacy URL
    • Product / Offer / Review schema on every PDP
    • Merchant Center feed audited & approved
    • Lighthouse ≥ 90 mobile across the five money pages
  6. 06

    Launch & 60-day support

    Week 10 → 18

Cutover on a weeknight, DNS propagated in the browser, checkout tested with a real card, monitoring live. On-call for the first 60 days for bugs, tweaks, campaign tweaks.

    • Zero-downtime DNS cutover
    • End-to-end checkout smoke test with real card
    • Uptime + conversion monitoring (Sentry, GA4 alerts)
    • 60 days of bug fixes & tweaks — included

$ questions

The stuff every merchant asks first.

If your question isn't below, we'll answer it on the discovery call. No sales pitch — just an honest read on whether we're the right shop.

Shopify, Woo, or headless?
Shopify for 80% of merchants — hosted, secure, best-in-class checkout, biggest app ecosystem. WooCommerce when you need deep WordPress integration or heavy content publishing. Headless (Hydrogen / Next.js) when you're doing $2M+ a year, need editorial control, and can justify the extra build cost. We'll tell you honestly which bucket you're in.
Can you migrate our store without losing SEO?
Yes — but "without losing SEO" is a promise nobody can literally keep. We preserve URL structure where possible, generate a comprehensive 301 redirect map from the sitemap, keep title/meta/H1 patterns, keep product schema. Post-launch, indexed page count and organic traffic typically recover within 2–4 weeks.
What about our checkout — can we customise it?
Shopify Plus: yes, deeply — via Checkout Extensibility (checkout UI extensions, functions, branding). Shopify basic: only through checkout customisations and Shop Pay. Woo: fully — we've built one-page, multi-step, subscription-first checkouts. We'll show you what's actually possible on your plan before you commit.
Who owns the store & billing?
You do, always. The Shopify store is owned by your email, billing on your card. We're added as staff and can be removed with one click. Same for Klaviyo, Xero, GA4, Search Console — everything under your Google Workspace, never ours.
Can you take over an existing store?
Often, yes. We run a paid 2-hour audit — theme health, app cost, speed, CRO signals, Merchant Center status — and quote continuation honestly. About a third of the time the answer is "your existing theme is fine, spend the budget on ads." We'll say that.
How do you handle peak periods (BFCM, EOFY)?
Care-plan clients get pre-peak load testing, extended on-call cover during BFCM/EOFY week, and a rollback plan for any risky changes. We won't push code to production during your peak week — unless you ask us to and it's a fire.
Do you work outside Brisbane?
Yes — every engagement runs remote-first from our Brisbane studio, with on-site availability across Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland and Wellington. For product-shoot-heavy engagements we visit warehouses; for the rest, Zoom is fine.
