From workshop to guideline — six phases, every time.

Every brand engagement runs the same six phases, in the same order. Fixed scope, fixed rounds, fixed price — agreed in writing before the first Figma frame.

    Discovery workshop

    Week 1

    Half-day workshop with your founders or exec team. We surface the story, the audience, the competitive set, and the honest constraints — no mood-board fishing.

Do I really need a "system" or just a logo?
If you're pre-launch and it's just you — a logo, one type, two colours will do. As soon as you have a marketer, a dev, and a founder all making things at once, the drift starts. A system pays for itself the first time three people don't have to Slack "what's the exact green?" again.
How many logo directions do we get?
Three creative territories after strategy, then one direction taken to two rounds of revision. We don't do "10 options" — it dilutes the thinking. Every option we show, we can defend with a written rationale.
Who owns the fonts and the rights?
You do. We spec fonts you can licence directly from the foundry (or use free / open-source options) — never fonts we've hoarded. We hand you the licence receipts and reg codes on handover. Zero foundry drama, zero cease-and-desist emails.
Can you rebrand without breaking our product?
Yes — that's what tokens are for. We ship colour, type and motion as JSON design tokens your dev team drops into Tailwind or CSS custom props. Old palette in, new palette out, one PR. We've done this on live SaaS with zero user-facing downtime.
How do payments work?
Two milestone payments — 50% at kickoff, 50% at handover. No all-in-advance. Fixed price, no billable hours, no surprise variations. Font and image licences are billed at cost on top, with receipts.
What if we don't like the direction?
Every engagement includes a strategy-gate review before we start drawing — three territories, live call, written rationale. If none land, we run one more round of territory work at no extra cost. In four years we've had that happen twice.
Do you work outside Brisbane?
Yes — every engagement runs remote-first from our Brisbane studio, with on-site workshop availability across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Auckland and Wellington. Kickoff workshops travel well; the rest is Figma and video.
